PURPOSE OF JOB
The Senior Buyer is an individual contributor role and will report to the Director of Indirect Procurement. They will take the leadership to execute sourcing, negotiation, and contracting activities for Canada based contracts with the potential to support other regions on an ad hoc basis based on capacity. The primary responsibility will be to drive competition, business continuity, supplier performance, and continuous improvement in alignment with corporate and business unit strategy and financial goals. The person will be responsible for stakeholder engagement up to the local General Manager for commercial indirect categories including but not limited to: Professional Services, Marketing & Sales, Promotions, Fleet, Meetings & Events. The person will collaborate with the Sourcing Support Services Manager and Global Category Leads to execute sourcing initiatives and contract execution in alignment with strategies and deliver best practices.
How Youll Spend Your Day
Executing contracts and procurement sourcing events in support of local business requirements or driven by the global category leads; including sourcing suppliers, running tenders, negotiating terms and conditions, and executing contracts with legal support.
