Job Description:
*Note - We are hiring for two (2) Fixed-Term Positions, up to End of March 2026 with potential for extension*
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Accountable for playing a key role in supporting transformation initiatives within the Market Conduct division, focusing on digital transformation, process improvement, and data-driven, risk-based decision making. This role is integral to driving high-impact transformation initiatives that modernize licensing solutions, enhance regulatory decision-making, and support organizational growth. Provides leadership to strategic planning and change management efforts, ensuring alignment with industry standards while maintaining compliance in a dynamic, regulated environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and executes business transformation projects with a focus on licensing solutions, regulatory processes, and compliance.
Manages complex project components, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory frameworks, and timelines.
Collaborates with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to implement digital transformation and optimize processes.
Resolves complex challenges and risks in transformation projects to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
Provides subject matter expertise on licensing legislative requirements and procedural changes to drive operational excellence.
Serves as a key liaison between leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring effective governance and communication.
Oversees the comprehensive change management and communications processes ensuring appropriate strategies and the analysis of change risks are in place.
Develops and refines policies and procedural updates to support business transformation and align with regulatory standards.
Oversees corporate reporting by tracking milestones, outcomes, and overall project performance metrics.
Leads cross-functional teams to address critical issues, implement new systems, and support strategic initiatives.
Engages with industry stakeholders to align transformation efforts with emerging trends and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, economics, mathematics, public policy or a comparable field, or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in business transformation, process improvement, or regulatory compliance within regulated industries (e.g., insurance, health services, or financial sectors).
Demonstrated expertise in applying project management principles and process improvement methodologies to lead large-scale transformation projects and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
Experience managing vendor relationships and driving results in complex, regulated environments.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and their application in FSRA’s sectors.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficient in designing and implementing transformation strategies, particularly in licensing operations and regulatory processes.
Strong leadership capabilities, including managing senior-level relationships, guiding teams, and influencing key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Deep knowledge of change management methodologies, with demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through organizational change in a regulatory environment.
Ability to critically assess business operations and propose innovative, strategic solutions that improve efficiency and enhance regulatory capabilities.
Advanced project management skills, with a focus on risk management, resource allocation, and meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Expertise in regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and FSRA’s operational standards.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex transformation initiatives to senior management, stakeholders, and external partners.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment by managing shifting priorities, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with FSRA’s organizational goals.
Demonstrated initiative in complex problem-solving with minimal oversight, providing strategic direction and leadership to teams in a dynamic regulatory setting.
Leadership skills to provide guidance and mentoring to less senior staff.
Proficiency in using advanced project management and business analysis tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira), and other relevant business tools.
A track record of mentoring and coaching team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
