YOUR IMPACT

OpenText is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining connections between business stakeholders and the Corporate Service Management Technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business systems analysis, service management, Agile methodologies, and a passion for driving technological solutions that enhance business operations.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Lead the assessment of business needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs and recommend options, risks, and cost vs. benefits.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional development teams to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for new projects, system enhancements, or process improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
  • Create and maintain process flowcharts, data models, and other visual representations to illustrate current and proposed solutions.
  • Assist in the design of technology solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives, status, and issues.
  • Document and present findings and recommendations to management concisely.
  • Work with various business and delivery teams ensuring good, solid, well-written requirements that allow IT delivery teams to create solutions that align with the requirements.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions while actively contributing to process improvement and organizational efficiency.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to manage and deliver projects, including participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and ready for development.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • University Degree Preferred (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, including a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
  • Service Management knowledge:Knowledge of service management, including business processes related Change/Incident /Problem Management, Configuration & Discovery, Monitoring, Automation & Fulfillment
  • Possesses leading-edge technical knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
