Pay Details: $76,800 - $115,200 CAD. This role is temporarily eligible for a pay premium above the posted salary range that is reassessed annually. You are encouraged to have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide more specific pay details for this role.

TD Business Systems Analysis covers a mandate that includes (but isn't limited to) proposing technical systems to accomplish business requirements enterprise-wide. These experts build relationships with business partners and other groups of diverse subject matter experts and stakeholders (both internal and external) to:

• Plan + Elicit + Analyze + Document + Communicate + Manage system requirements;
• Assess client needs and recommend the right technology;
• Offer operational and process-related analysis and support.

TD Securities, the wholesale trading subsidiary of TD Bank, is seeking a self-starting, motivated and high-performing individual to become a strong contributor in its dynamic technology organization. This is a prominent and complex role that will require the individual to interface with finance, operations, risk management, front office staff and other technology teams regularly.

About This Role

We are looking for someone to plan, manage, and lead the delivery of detailed system requirements and technical and functional specifications that align to standards and frameworks. You will provide technical leadership and work in close partnership with ambitious business and technology partners, project teams and stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage detailed functional specifications.

• Business Analysis

  • Provide support and produce detailed system requirements and technical / functional specifications in alignment with standards and frameworks.
  • Work in close partnership with business partners / technology / project teams and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage detailed functional specifications.
  • Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching/analyzing current state system capabilities and defining technology solutions options / recommendations working closely with key technology partners.
  • Ability to write and execute test plans in DEV and PAT and carry out all necessary tasks required to implement any system change.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team.
  • Manage Incremental Change.
  • Manage BAU change to PNL and Attribution reporting system.
  • Scope, size, and manage data quality implementation efforts.
  • Testing and ensuring quality of the developed solution: that it meets the business functional requirements and is production-ready.

• L3 Support

  • Independently investigate and resolve client support issues.
  • Resolve any complex issues that cannot be resolved by first-line support.
  • Supporting various legacy system retirements.

• Miscellaneous

  • Training new/existing clients and implementation teams on software.
  • Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines.

Job Requirements:

What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

• 8-10 years of experience as a Capital Market business analyst with exposure to Product Control/Financial Reporting.
• Experienced in data mapping.
• Ability to analyze business functions, workflows, inputs and outputs.
• Business Requirements Document and Functional Requirements document writing skills/experience, flow diagrams.
• Hands-on experience working with SQL databases (i.e. queries, data analysis), REST APIs and event mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Project Management tools such as JIRA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with competing demands.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle and release management processes.
• Working knowledge of TDS technology platforms, including trade booking source systems and downstream reporting systems is a plus.
• Experienced stakeholder management through both formal and informal means.

Qualifications:

• Required: BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience.
