Academic Management Systems, part of SFU's IT Services, collaborates with Faculties and Faculty Relations to deliver systems supporting academic operations. Our agile, cross-functional teams of analysts, developers, and QA specialists focus on building user-centered IT solutions that streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the SFU experience for faculty and staff.
SFU is initiating a three-year digital transformation through the Integrated Faculty Management System (IFMS) program, aiming to modernize workflows across academic and administrative domains and support the university’s mission.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst supports the development and enhancement of eTRACS, SFU’s academic management system, within the IFMS program. This role involves detailed business analysis, system design, testing, and change management to ensure new modules and enhancements meet institutional needs. The analyst collaborates with Faculty Relations, academic units, and technical teams to translate complex business processes into effective digital solutions. The position also involves stakeholder engagement and ensures the delivery of scalable, user-focused functionalities in an Agile environment.
