Sr. Business System Analyst

Location Address : Hybrid - 44 King Street W 19th Floor, Toronto – 2-3x / week

Duration : 6 months & possibility of extension up to 2 years

Job responsibilities

  • Support the production and maintenance of the FX platform.
  • Engage in all phases of the systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, QA, data lineage, implementation, and support. Act as a liaison between business lines and development teams for requirements, issue resolution, project status, and prioritization.
  • Understand stakeholder needs, create detailed product design specifications via user stories, and assist in sprint planning prioritization.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and documentation, including data transformations, design, and operational support documents.
  • Possess knowledge of the bank’s products, especially FX trades and products such as FX Spot, Forwards, Swaps, and NDFs, within eFX.
  • Be fluent in Agile methodologies and experienced in Agile environments as a product owner or team member.
  • Desired eFX-specific knowledge includes FX trade lifecycle, pricing, routing, FIX protocol, testing maker and taker sessions, and familiarity with Unix, SQL, and regulatory requirements like MIFIDII.
  • Apply analysis tools to interpret data, identify patterns, and focus on quality, automation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills :

  • Over 10 years of experience with financial instruments, market conventions, valuation, risk management, and workflows in at least one financial market area, with basic knowledge of another.
  • Extensive experience with institutional trading and risk management.
  • Deep understanding of FX trade lifecycle, pricing, routing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with Unix and SQL, troubleshooting within eFX applications, and familiarity with FIX protocol and FX execution methods.
  • Experience testing liquidity provider sessions and understanding their FIX specs.

Nice-To-Have Skills :

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Python, KDB+, and Kubernetes.
