The Senior Business Solutions Consultant is a key role within the Strategic Solutions team at Sovereign. This role supports different business areas throughout the lifecycle of an improvement – opportunity identification, development & deployment, sustaining the improvement, and monitoring success.
This multi-skilled role is critical in achieving objectives through solutioning of business problems, project delivery, and change management. You will identify, own, and implement initiatives that solve departmental and cross-functional business problems with sustained benefits realization. As a self-starter with influencing and facilitation skills, you will develop relationships across the organization and contribute to a collaborative environment.
How you will create impact:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, leading all phases from initiation to closure, managing timelines, budget, and scope for each.
- Lead end-to-end projects and diagnostics to identify improvement opportunities using structured approaches like design thinking, customer journey mapping, or lean six sigma.
- Perform analysis to support business case development and benefits realization.
- Collaborate with multiple departments, engaging all levels of employees to design recommendations that maximize value. Facilitate sessions for process mapping, problem-solving, and waste identification.
- Identify metrics to measure and sustain results, defining KPIs and scorecards using VOC, data collection, and process capability studies.
- Support project transition into business-as-usual, coaching leaders and staff on lean management practices to sustain improvements.

To join our team:
- University degree in business or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience leading complex projects, solving business problems, or in management consulting, with skills in process improvement, project management, change management, financial acumen, and strategic thinking.
- Project Management certification (PMP) required; Lean Six Sigma or equivalent, and PROSCI certification are assets.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, and strategic planning is an asset.
- Expertise in applying lean six sigma and project management methodologies to ensure benefits are achieved on time and within budget.
- Strong business acumen with strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to influence and manage expectations across all organizational levels in a matrix environment; experience influencing leadership to adopt new ways of working.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Visio, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- This role primarily involves working with non-francophone groups outside Québec, requiring proficiency in English. Non-French duties are not assignable to other team members.
