Job description

We planted roots in Los Angeles, California. Now, our fleet of electric scooters is available to riders in cities around the world for short trips or the "last mile" of their journey. In our first year, Bird launched in over 100 cities and provided over 10 million rides. And we're only just getting started.

The Sr. Business Operations Associate - Vehicle Team drives success of the vehicle repair programs. Partnering closely with the vehicle repair operations, product, local operations and supply chain teams, this role provide analysis and leads changes to improve repair efficiency, asset utilization and vehicle retention. The scope is global across Bird's range of vehicle types, including several models of e-scooters and e-bikes.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain routine vehicle-related forecasts to inform labor and spare parts planning to inform proper staffing levels and avoid vehicle downtime.
  • Oversee labor productivity models to drive cost efficiencies.
  • Lead asset allocation strategy; inform allocation of new vehicles and rebalancing of used vehicles to maximize revenue generated per vehicle.
  • Manage key vehicle-related projects, including new product launches.
  • Provide other ad-hoc analysis as directed by the Vice President of Central Operations.

Requirements :

  • 2-4 years of experience in a highly quantitative role. Candidates with previous experience in a strategy / planning / investment banking / consulting / business intelligence role typically have the required skills, but all previous experience will be considered.
  • Advanced analytical reasoning skills.
  • Advanced data modeling skills, including forecasting methodologies and sensitivity analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience with Google Suite tools (Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Proficiency self-serving data using SQL or similar tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and make decisions with imperfect information.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Moderate scripting skills (Python, Google Apps Script, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail across multiple functions / topics simultaneously
  • Cross-functional project leadership experience
  • Experience in the micro-mobility industry or related industry, including automotive, aviation, manufacturing
