We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our Enterprise Reporting team, reposting directly to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Enterprise Reporting. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and end users to deliver high-quality BI solutions that support strategic decision-making. As business needs evolve, the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will serve as a technical and team lead – guiding offshore developers, mentoring junior engineers, and driving progress across key initiatives.

What will you be doing?

• Overseeing project delivery and BAU (business-as-usual) items with the BI Development offshore team, as directed by the Senior Manager, BI Enterprise Reporting.

• Mentoring and training junior team members on projects and BAU items within assigned areas of responsibility, under the supervision of the Senior Manager.

• Acting as the BI Solutions Architect, responsible for BI platform architecture and the creation and management of metric and attribute definitions related to schema.

• Making decisions on complex or ambiguous BI and reporting-related architecture issues.

• Interfacing with business representatives and leaders to validate and capture business requirements and requests for reporting solutions.

• Analyzing business requirements and designing, developing, and implementing BI solutions to meet those needs.

• Translating business requirements into detailed design specifications for execution by offshore BI/report developers.

• Participating in the development of data marts, reports, and data visualization solutions (dashboards) on the Business Insights platform, powered by MicroStrategy.

• Performing detailed data analysis, validation, and report testing, while identifying data and reporting quality issues.

• Communicating progress, milestones, challenges, and escalating issues as needed.

• Developing deep data knowledge of goeasy’s business by combining data from different systems, analyzing heterogeneous datasets, and identifying key KPIs to inform the business.

• Creating ad hoc queries and reports as needed, and providing ongoing analytical support for these requests.

• Supporting self-service reporting and resolving data/reporting issues in a timely manner to maintain a stable BI environment.

• Collaborating effectively with Enterprise and Data Solutions Architects, as well as Data and BI Engineers, to ensure adherence to approved development and deployment procedures.

What experience do you have?

• 2 years experience leading The Implementation Of BI Projects

• A minimum of 5 years in-depth business reporting experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or other Information Technology related degree

• A minimum of 5 years of hands on design and development experience with BI tools (such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau).

• 3-5 years working with SQL Server or comparable relational database system

• Experience developing reports using documents, grids, graphs, dashboards and working in Business Intelligence or Reporting Environments.

• Advanced Knowledge of SQL skills to build, debug, and optimize

Attributes & Competencies

• 2 years of experience leading the implementation of BI projects.

• A minimum of 5 years of in-depth business reporting experience.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or another Information Technology-related field.

• At least 5 years of hands-on design and development experience with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, or Tableau.

• 3–5 years of experience working with SQL Server or a comparable relational database system.

• Experience developing reports using documents, grids, graphs, dashboards, and working within Business Intelligence or reporting environments.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL, with the ability to build, debug, and optimize complex queries.
