Position Overview

This role reports to the Director of Analytics and requires an experienced professional passionate about preparing and presenting information in a visually appealing and understandable manner. The candidate should be skilled in collecting and synthesizing complex data from multiple sources, providing rigorous analysis and interpretation, and deriving insights that support strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Program ETL processes on SQL Server and Snowflake.
• Lead the BI team, overseeing daily functions and training entry-level employees to develop their skills.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Apply research standards, descriptive statistics, and data management principles to translate complex data into meaningful content.
• Present findings through verbal, written, and graphical communication, offering recommendations for organizational improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver relevant information in suitable formats.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards.
• Participate in metadata, master data management, and data governance initiatives.
• Stay updated on BI industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Develop and implement business logic and ETL mechanisms to populate data warehouses, automating data extraction and loading processes.
• Utilize dimensional data modeling, data warehousing, and design principles to create balanced scorecards, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Gather and analyze business requirements for data modeling and mapping across platforms for enterprise BI initiatives.
• Identify data quality issues and support data governance activities, including data profiling.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, systems analysis, informatics, or related fields, including requirements gathering, solution implementation, testing, and validation.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, biomedical research, or academic medical settings.
