Senior Business Development Manager - Marine & Mission Systems (Permanent)

Location: Ottawa, ON, CA, K1P 5E7

Onsite or Hybrid:

Expected Salary: $125,054 to $187,581

In Canada, Babcock works in the Marine sector, where our teams provide critical and complex support to Canada’s submarine fleet. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition and execution of an approved Marine & Mission Systems growth strategy.
  • Be responsible for the identification and development of new growth opportunities capable of being progressed to successful outcomes.
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with target customers, partners, subcontractors and other stakeholders including within the wider Babcock organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with and support other growth portfolio leads such as Aviation and Land.
  • Promote Babcock in target Canadian and where appropriate, overseas markets.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • Post secondary degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant Marine and or Mission Systems industry experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong motivational capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all organisational levels.
  • Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security Clearance, ITAR and Controlled Goods.
  • Experience in the following areas would be an asset:
    • Defence & Security Markets.
    • Business Development or Capture Management.
    • Project, Commercial and / or Bid Management.
