Position: Senior Business Analyst, Workplace Solutions

Compensation Details :
- Business Analyst 18 : Salaries typically range from $94,664 to $126,219 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location:
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
- This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa.
- Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview:
- The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:
- Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
- Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.
- Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
- Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
- The Workplace Solutions team at EDC plays a pivotal role in strengthening organizational communication, collaboration, and operational effectiveness.
- As a Senior Business Analyst specializing in Workplace and Technology, you will be instrumental in evaluating and optimizing workplace processes. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, design innovative solutions, and implement technology-driven strategies that boost efficiency and support business success.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate on IT projects and support business analytics initiatives.
- Gather, validate and document BI and reporting requirements.
- Analyze business needs and translate them into clear, actionable solutions.
- Develop, track, and share key performance indicators (KPIs) through data analytics dashboards and reports.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate group sessions and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Present and resolve complex or conflicting issues using strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Contribute to strategic planning and ensure alignment with product roadmaps.
- Identify impacts of digital changes on business processes and data integrity.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years' proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with a focus on workplace solutions and end-user technologies.
- Strong understanding of IT project lifecycles and digital workplace environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What will make you stand out:
- BA Certification such as IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or IIBA Agile Analysis Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis.
- Agile Certification such as PMI Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) or similar.
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
