Senior Business Analyst to support multiple projects within a production environment in the public sector.

Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support multiple projects within a production environment.

The contractor will be required to schedule and lead planning sessions with clients to gather business requirements, develop detailed business requirements/user stories, create screen mock-ups, business process maps, and data flow diagrams. They will also provide walkthroughs to clients and technical teams regarding detailed business requirements/user stories, document change requests, and perform post-release requirements tests and analysis.

Responsibilities:

1. Schedule, plan, and lead sessions with clients and partners to gather business information, lessons learned, and detailed requirements for the desired outcomes on a weekly basis, aiming to implement project solutions or resolve system issues affecting ongoing operations;
2. Develop and document screen, report, and interface requirements;
3. Develop functional, business, and system interface or capability interaction documentation;
4. Gather and analyze information to establish the functional needs of a system or project;
5. Provide walkthroughs to the technical team before each Sprint (bi-weekly iteration) with detailed business requirements;
6. Document change requests (CRs) and conduct post-release defect analysis;
7. Provide Functional and Impact Analysis documents;
8. Manage backlog items, user stories, use cases, business requirement documents, functional specifications, and data mappings every two weeks for new features;
9. Develop and implement both as-is and to-be business process maps to determine end-to-end flows.
