Job description

The Senior Business Analyst works with business leaders within the Office of the Registrar (OTR) to identify their business needs and transforms them into business processes and/or information technology system requirements. The incumbent leads and maintains the Salesforce (Sales Cloud & Marketing Cloud) and PeopleSoft Campus products and is involved in all aspects of user management. The incumbent performs the initial assessment of new business process and/or system requirements, determines feasibility, significance, and scope. As an advocate of business interests, the incumbent works to identify business and technology gaps, documents and manages requirements and models business solutions. Where technical solutions are needed, the incumbent conveys the business requirements in technical terms, architects’ solutions, and leads the change initiative within and beyond the OTR (i.e., Information Technology, Faculties, etc.).


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing a critical, technical, and analytical role in the development and maintenance to the Salesforce and PeopleSoft Campus environments;
  • Developing, analyzing, and implementing functional operations in support of Salesforce (Sales Cloud & Marketing Cloud) and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions;
  • Conducting complex business systems analysis and system design;
  • Assessing, analyzing, and documenting requirements of new or existing processes/systems which integrate with other information systems;
  • Providing business data intelligence through the creation of reports and data analysis;
  • Training and development of end-users;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

You enjoy balancing many different tasks, staying organized and like to develop processes or systems to keep things running smoothly.

You have a highly collaborative spirit and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others to support establishing and achieving collective goals.


The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

  • 3-year diploma/degree in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field along with 8 years extensive experience in architecting, solutioning, developing, and operating business infrastructure and services including 2 years Salesforce experience (Sales Cloud & Marketing Cloud) that includes administration, configuration, setup, and integration to 3rd party solutions. (Consideration will be given to candidates who have worked with other industry leading CRM solutions)
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills with an ability to effectively delegate tasks and provide constructive feedback.
  • Experience mapping processes and performing present state, future state and gap analysis used for business performance improvement.
  • Sound prior experience with process design, system analysis and development, testing and implementation.
  • Technical leadership including complex coding (i.e., SQL) and debugging of source code.
  • Workshop development, facilitation, and training.
  • Conducting cost benefit analysis and business case and project charter development.
  • Creating proposals, requirements gathering/documentation and providing status reports for management.
  • Managing and negotiating deadlines.
  • Experience leading large complex technical projects.
  • Exceptional teamwork, leadership, client service orientation and communication (including presentation) skills.
