About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst, OPL, to join our Personal Lines Operations and Planning team. This dynamic team is at the heart of Intact's business sectors. The primary role of this group is to ensure effective liaison between the Information Technology (IT) teams and stakeholders on national projects.


What you’ll do here:

  1. Plan and coordinate project activities related to organizational requirements or changes.
  2. Act as an intermediary between IT, end users and managers from different hierarchical levels.
  3. Obtain requirements from business communities using techniques such as interview and work sessions.
  4. Analyze information obtained from various sources, detail the high-level view and provide users with recommendations to their problems.
  5. Document requirements obtained from the business community using defined templates.
  6. Ensure the link between the business units, the technology teams and the support team.
  7. Participate in a working session with experts from different fields.
  8. Assist team in improving productivity and reducing risks and high costs through effective analysis.
  9. Identify the need for change to assess and communicate the impacts.
  10. Support the Quality Assurance team during Test Planning and Execution.


What you bring to the table:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst
  3. Experience in business process review
  4. Highly develop analytical skills facilitating problem solving
  5. Demonstrated ability to cope with change effectively
  6. Client-oriented
  7. Must have demonstrated initiative and autonomy
  8. Skills for time and priority management
  9. Can manage multiple initiatives at the same time
  10. Team spirit
  11. Good communication skills (oral and written)
  12. Experience in Functional analysis
  13. Intermediate/advanced knowledge in micro-computing (word processing, spreadsheets)
  14. Knowledge of the insurance industry (asset)
  15. No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
  16. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
