Joining the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) as a Senior Business Analyst, eHealth for the EMR project is particularly exciting now due to the significant focus on enhancing healthcare delivery within First Nations communities. The FNHA is at the forefront of integrating advanced Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, which are crucial in improving patient care, data management, and healthcare accessibility. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful projects that directly affect the health and well-being of First Nations populations

Title: Senior Business Analyst, eHealth

Salary: $88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hrs/wk Flexible schedule 7.5 hr days, e.g. 9am-4pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Metro Vancouver office – Alberni office, on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Hybrid working in line with FNHA’s flex work policy. (Hybrid – minimum 50% in the office).

About The Role

The Senior Business Analyst, eHealth for the EMR project will act as a critical link between traditional business analysis duties and a product lead role. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the EMR vendor to gather and document system requirements, ensuring they align with FNHA's needs. The role also involves conducting comprehensive testing and validation to confirm the system's reliability and effectiveness. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for communicating system enhancements and updates to stakeholders and users, as well as developing and managing chart access models and security profiles to maintain data privacy and security. Furthermore, the analyst will analyze and ensure that the EMR system complies with all relevant legal standards and regulations.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in analysis or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Degree in Health Informatics is highly desired;

Key Skills & Experience

  • Extensive Business Analysis Experience: Proven business analysis track record, preferably within healthcare or EMR systems.
  • Project Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of EMR systems, configuration, and setup.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience in testing and validating complex systems.
  • Collaboration Abilities: Ability to work closely with vendors, particularly in gathering requirements and implementing system enhancements.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of key issues and opportunities for BC First Nations health and wellness;

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
