As a Senior Business Analyst, on our Custody team, you will be responsible for business analysis activities on multiple projects simultaneously. The role requires someone who can demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability and can apply the competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. In this role you will be responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology.
What will you do?
- Develop plans and estimates for completion of requirements
- Lead the IT business analysis for assigned projects/programs
- Impact and influence to ensure stakeholder buy-in and support of the requirements strategy at the program level
- Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of global custody processes including trade settlements, asset servicing and cash management
- Prepare requirements for review applying various communication techniques and lead requirements walkthrough and sign off sessions
- Identify, track and resolve business systems issues during the project lifecycle
- Support: QA in testing activities, Design and Development activities by providing requirements clarifications, Functional Support activities and the development of the end-user documentation and training
What you will need to succeed:
Must have:
- Minimum of 5 years of Financial Industry experience within custody (preferred), corporate security services, investment councilor services and/or trade management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects within financial services
- Experience with applications: Gplus, Trust, Milvus and BaNCS, View Finder, Income Collection
- Proven experience working as a BA, in various delivery methodologies such as Agile (preferred), Waterfall, Iterative. Gather requirements from stakeholders, create user stories and work closely with tech teams to deliver 2 week sprint goals
- Solid understanding of SWIFT MT and MX messages
- Advanced knowledge and experience in requirements planning, elicitation and prioritization
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to build healthy working relationships.
- Bachelors degree in CompSci, Information Systems, Finance or related degree
Nice-to-have:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)
- Experience in one or more of the following business areas: Custody, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Foreign Exchange, Securities Lending
