Note:This role is centered on business architecture and design. It is not a technical position, and candidates with backgrounds primarily in business systems analysis or technical business analysis may not be the ideal fit.

We aim to enhance strategic decision-making, prioritization, and business design by employing industry-standard frameworks and tools to foster enterprise-wide alignment and elevate both customer and colleague experiences.
Our primary focus is developing comprehensive business designs that address specific organizational needs. These designs set the direction, standards, and boundaries for detailed business and system requirements, crucial for implementation. They are vital in achieving alignment on future state standardization, especially where significant variances currently exist across segments, products, and geographies.
About the Role
As a Senior Business Analyst in Global Design, you will be central to reshaping and standardizing our global operations. Collaborating closely with the Global Design team and stakeholders across various functions—including commercial excellence, customer-to-cash, finance, enterprise architecture, and sales—you will align individual business requirements with broader strategic objectives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into Thomson Reuters’ diverse operations and contribute to enhancing customer and user experiences. Your critical thinking and stakeholder engagement skills will be pivotal in driving impactful business designs and facilitating organizational change.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop high-level business designs encompassing business requirements, service blueprints, standardized definitions, and process maps.
Collaborate with business architects and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive business designs.
Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops with subject matter experts to define and validate designs and requirements.
Apply critical thinking and industry best practices to manage ambiguity, challenge existing processes, and drive continuous improvement.
Synthesize diverse perspectives to promote standardization and simplification.
Analyze data to assess the impact of proposed changes.
Independently plan and manage projects, ensuring alignment with broader programs and portfolios.
Maintain ongoing engagement with key SME groups and provide regular updates.
Report key developments to the Global Design team.
Advocate for high-quality and consistent design activities across Thomson Reuters.
Establish, validate, and monitor key metrics to track the impact and effectiveness of business designs.
Continuously refine methodologies and frameworks for requirements gathering and definition.
About You
You are well-suited for the Senior Business Analyst, Global Design role if you possess:
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in management consulting, business analysis, business architecture, or process mapping.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on business analysis.
Proven experience managing projects involving multiple internal stakeholders.
Structured and critical thinking abilities to navigate ambiguity and challenge the status quo.
Experience in strategic thinking and influencing organizational change.
Initiative and the ability to drive improvements independently.
Confidence in facilitating workshops with diverse stakeholder groups.
A track record of effective collaboration across teams and organizations.
Strong communication skills, capable of delivering expert-level and management presentations.
A keen interest in end-to-end business processes, business design, and analysis.
Comfort in working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
Energy, enthusiasm, and strong relationship-building skills.
Experience in a large software or business information company is advantageous.
