Job description

We are looking for Senior Business Analyst for our client who meets the following criteria:

• Language: English
• Security Clearance: Reliability
• Location of Work: Ottawa, ON (or Contractor’s registered business location / remote private residence / JUS facility at 275 Sparks Street, Ottawa). On-site presence only as requested; no regular on-site requirement.

Mandatory requirements:

• The proposed resource must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience within the last fifteen (15) years from the issuance date of the solicitation as a Business Analyst performing the following tasks:
  • Gathering and documenting business requirements (functional and non-functional),
  • Developing business process modeling,
  • Performing fit-gap analysis,
  • Conducting option analysis and providing recommendations for senior management in support of digital modernization or transformation initiatives,
  • Articulating total cost of ownership (TCO), implementation timelines, and measurable business outcomes (for example case resolution time, user adoption, compliance audit pass rates),
  • Managing scope creep and timeline slippage in complex modernization assessments,
  • Writing Business Case documents and
  • Converting business requirements into functional specifications.
• The proposed resource must have completed a post-secondary education degree (3-4 years) or diploma (2-3 years) in an IT or business analysis related field of study, from an accredited college or university. A 2-year diploma in a business-related field of study or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering will also be accepted
• The Bidder must demonstrate their proposed resource’s experience working on a minimum of two (2) Contracts within the last five (5) years from the issuance date of the solicitation for business analyst services relating to the replacement of legacy systems in the area of Case Management modernization or transformation initiatives.

Each Contract example must demonstrate experience providing Business Analyst services that included at least six (6) of the eleven (11) following characteristics:

• Legal Case Management Systems with over 500,000 case files
• Content Management systems supporting over 1,000,000 files comprised of Word, Excel, and PDF documents as well as large (2GB or greater) video and audio files and integration document management platforms considering data quality and migration risks
• Modern Case Management systems such as AI-assisted workflows, low-code configurations, constituent experience design and automatically creating case files based on contents of the submission form in PDF or word format
• Time reporting for Billing purposes
• Generating Microsoft Word based templates integrated with the case management system
• Case Management system integration with SAP financial system for billing purposes
• Case Management system integration with GCDocs for retention and disposition purposes
• Case management system integration with a user adoption platform
• Case management system integration with Exchange Online to synch appointments/events between the case management system and a user’s Calendar
• Security requirements where each case and its associated documents may have different access rights from each other
• Case Management system integration with a canvas app to allow users to create/edit entries via mobile app
