Who We Are
Decathlon, founded in 1976 in France and present in 70 countries, arrived in Canada in 2018 with its first store in Brossard, Québec. Today, Decathlon Canada has over 1,000 teammates, more than 20 stores, a distribution center, and an e-commerce platform, all dedicated to our mission: moving people through the wonders of sport.

Project Management
- Lead cross-functional projects from conception to completion, supporting the data team to ensure timely delivery and scope adherence.
- Participate in project planning, timelines, and implementation, collaborating with various departments for a holistic approach.
- Gather and clarify stakeholder requests from marketing, e-commerce, supply, etc., and communicate project status and changes.
- Create and deliver compelling data-driven presentations and reports, using storytelling to convey insights effectively.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, and ensure alignment on analytical projects.
Decision-Making Support and Strategic Enabler
- Monitor market trends, identify business opportunities where data can drive growth, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Evaluate KPIs related to sales performance, such as conversion rate, basket size, and traffic.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities, supporting strategic decisions.
- Conduct customer segmentation and RFM analysis to understand client behavior.
- Assist in writing economic trajectories with in-depth analysis of commercial activities.
- Present insights and recommendations clearly through visualizations, dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Embrace AI as a strategic tool in business analysis.
Data Extraction, Analysis, and Visualization
- Extract data from primary and secondary sources, maintaining databases.
- Write SQL queries to retrieve information for stakeholders.
- Cleanse and validate data, develop new tools for data operations.
- Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection.
- Design dashboards to meet stakeholder needs for decision-making.
- Use Python to extract, process, and share data via email, dashboards, or Google Sheets.
Product Owner of Data Quality and Colleague Development
- Engage with relevant teams to improve business knowledge and ensure data relevance.
- Share knowledge and train staff on data tools and analysis concepts.
- Raise awareness of technologies and develop skills for various projects.
- Maintain high coding standards and project management credentials.
Hybrid work model: Montreal office (~2-3 days on-site/week). Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is essential for collaboration across Canada and with English-speaking teams.
