Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in Fredericton, NB or Halifax, NS to design, plan, and rehabilitate roadway structures including bridges and culverts. You will work with the Transportation Engineering team on assessments, layouts, and life-cycle analyses.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 4–8 years of bridge experience, and P.Eng. registration with NB intent. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in bridge design and evaluation.
• P.Eng. registration in a Canadian province with intent to register in New Brunswick (Mandatory).
• Experience with OSIM bridge inspections or similar standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in bridge and roadway structure condition assessments.
• Plan and develop schematic/geometric layouts for new structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations in compliance with Canadian design codes.
• Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D and StructurePoint Suite for structural design.
• Collaborate with drafting teams to prepare construction drawings and details.
• Conduct material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and life-cycle analyses.
• Assist in preparing construction specifications and design briefs.
• Support construction administration, including shop drawing reviews and RFIs.
