As a Senior Bridge Design Technician, you’ll have the opportunity to join one of our Ontario offices (Toronto, Kitchener, or Ottawa) and work on transportation projects focused on bridge and transportation structure design. You will collaborate daily with technicians and engineers to create drawings and simulations using various software tools to support our clients’ project goals.

Your responsibilities will include creating layouts, sketches, and 2D/3D models, and producing electronic drawings for construction using MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenBridge Designer, OpenRoads, Civil3D, and other resources to generate detailed transportation structure drawings.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A two-year technical degree in CADD
  • 10+ years of experience detailing bridges, laying out retaining walls, and detailing reinforcement and steel
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD
  • Experience with Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat PDF software
  • Knowledge of MTO and Ontario Municipal Design Standards
  • Ability to interpret construction and engineering documents
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in producing plans
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with OpenBridge Designer, OpenRoads, Civil3D, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and ProjectWise
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in developing bridge plans
