Job description

Overview

FOE Creative is a digital studio built on methodical design practices and forward-thinking digital solutions. We’re seeking a versatile digital designer who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative studio environment — someone who can balance strong brand identity skills with UI/UX craft for websites, apps, and campaigns. As a senior member of our team, you’ll work side-by-side with our Senior Visual Designer to deliver brand systems, digital experiences, and campaign creative that push boundaries while staying practical for client needs. Your role will be hands-on and creative-first — ideal for a designer who wants variety, ownership, and the chance to influence both branding and digital work.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine brand identity systems across digital, print, packaging, and environmental touchpoints.
  • Lead end-to-end UI/UX projects for websites and applications — from wireframes and prototypes to polished final designs.
  • Architect scalable design systems and component libraries in Figma.
  • Incorporate motion design and animation (After Effects, Lottie, or similar) into digital deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (design, development, marketing) to bring campaigns and websites to life.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to other designers, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Explore and integrate AI-assisted design workflows (e.g., Figma AI, prompt-driven ideation, auto-spec) to streamline creativity.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of professional experience in branding, UI/UX, or related design roles.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing brand identity systems, digital experiences, and design systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma; strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, and/or Commerce7 platforms.
  • Proficiency in motion design to enhance brand storytelling.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect design solutions to strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and collaborate within a team.
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.2 AA) in digital design.
Nice to Have
  • Understanding of design-to-code workflows (e.g., Figma Dev Mode, Storybook, design tokens).
  • Data-informed mindset with exposure to analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar) or conversion design.
  • Background in illustration or creative content for brand systems.
  • Competitive salary: $70,000–$80,000 (based on experience).
  • Overtime eligibility. (~4–8% boost to annual pay)
  • Strong work-life balance with hybrid flexibility (in-office Mon–Thu, remote Fri).
  • iMac/MacBook & monitors provided.
  • Monthly team gatherings and studio culture events (+patio BBQ’s).
  • FOE covers educational courses for professional development.
  • Team retreats and all-expenses-paid trips to industry conferences.
