Job summary

Wellington-Altus Calgary is seeking a Senior Branch Administrator to manage day‑to‑day branch operations and provide administrative support to investment advisors, ensuring exceptional client service, accuracy, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a business/finance degree (asset), 3–5 years in financial services, strong MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • A degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study is an asset.
  • Valid CSC/CPH or Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in the financial services brokerage industry for at least 3-5 years.
  • Proficiency with MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day branch operations and administration, including maintenance of office equipment and supplies, and coordination of office functions and events.
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency, assist advisors with client meetings, account opening, and provide general support as needed.
  • Act as the branch resource for policies and procedures, communicating and assisting with initiatives from head office and the regional leadership team.
  • Facilitate banking functions and account processing activities, cover reception, and warmly greet clients, ensuring the highest standards of customer service.
  • Maintain and build sustainable relationships with all stakeholders through open and interactive communication.
  • Assist with overseeing the training of all support staff in the branch, ensuring a high-performing and collaborative team.
  • Partner with the Regional Leadership and Advisory Teams to efficiently and effectively manage the branch.
  • Cultivate a positive culture, develop strong employee relations, and maintain excellent communication by treating employees fairly and consistently.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Regional Business Administration Manager, the Senior Branch Administrator is accountable for effectively managing all administrative aspects of the branch operations. This includes the provision of operational and administrative support to the branch and investment advisors. Consistent demonstration of exceptional internal and external client service, adherence to compliance and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study is an asset.

  • Demonstrated experience in the financial services brokerage industry for at least 3-5 years.
