Job summary

A leading national accounting firm in Canada seeks a Senior Bookkeeper to join their Cloud Accounting Services team. The candidate will manage full cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and client relationships while utilizing advanced technology. A minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and a certificate in business administration or accounting is preferred. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with cloud accounting software is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer full cycle bookkeeping for clients.
• Prepare and maintain payroll and related filings.
• Provide support and training to junior team members.
• Handle month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Maintain and reconcile GL accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies and communicate with supervisors.

Skills

Full cycle bookkeeping experience

Working with cloud accounting software (QBO or Xero)

Preparing T4s and T5s

Knowledge of accounting principles

Education

Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting
