Qualifications

• Senior operational, technical, and leadership experience within biomedical sciences or a related laboratory environment.
• Ability to coordinate experimental setups and support course delivery for undergraduate and graduate education.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, biosafety, and EH&S practices (WHMIS, biosafety, chemical waste management).

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory facility setup, infrastructure planning, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Oversee the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) program including WHMIS, biosafety, chemical waste management, and emergency response.
• Support knowledge mobilization and academic events by coordinating seminars, drafting briefing materials, and operating audiovisual infrastructure.
• Liaise with the Academic Department Manager to align procurement, vendor negotiations, and compliance with regulatory standards.
