Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a bilingual procurement professional to join our Montréal-based projects. You will manage the project procurement plan, handle SAP procure-to-pay processes, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, cost and quality.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in business or engineering, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience in program management. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering preferred.
• Proven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Advanced communication skills for multidisciplinary project meetings.
• Program management experience is a plus.
• Ability to interpret process flowcharts and data movement.
• Ability to build positive relationships with industry professionals and internal clients.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to learning about new products, technologies and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (Procure to Pay).

Responsibilities

• Lead project procurement plan and on-time delivery.
• Manage procurement process in SAP.
• Negotiate low-value contracts with suppliers.
• Adhere to Aecon's preferred procurement footprint.
• Aim for zero exceptions in the procure-to-pay process.
• Real-time resolution of price, delivery, account assignment, materials, and service exceptions.
• Participate in and help develop supplier improvement plans.
