WHAT YOU WILL DO – AS A SENIOR BENEFITS & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT
Join our team, where you will drive meaningful client relationships, provide strategic benefits solutions, and support business growth. This role includes an increased focus on business development.
We seek a dynamic professional who is enthusiastic about delivering quality customer service and contributing to a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage client relationships by providing strategic consulting, financial oversight, plan design recommendations, and negotiating renewals to optimize client benefits programs.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize client retention and satisfaction.
- Maintain relationships with clients and key decision-makers, ensuring an initiative-taking approach to their needs.
- Address client concerns efficiently and provides solutions that align with their business goals.
- Identify and assess Group Insurance risks, recommending plan designs and cost-management strategies.
- Ensure revenue growth and profitability across client accounts and projects.
- Generate creative opportunities for expansion within the existing client portfolio through multi-product selling and customized solutions.
- Actively prospect, engage, and secure new clients. Stay informed about employee benefits legislation, administrative procedures, plan regulations, claims management, and client-specific policies.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote services and stay updated on industry trends.
- Cultivate partnerships with suppliers to enhance value and service for clients.
- Collaborate and build relationships with colleagues, shared services teams, and practice areas across the organization and Industry.
Qualifications
Let us talk about you – we are looking for a unique blend of experience and skills for the ideal candidate which includes:
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Group Benefits and Consulting capacity
- We seek individuals who can navigate the complexities of the Group Insurance landscape while maintaining a client-centric focus.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing client relationships, driving business growth, and implementing multi-product solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. They will have a passion for continuous learning and be adept at leveraging technology to enhance client services.
- Proven record in client management, business development, and multi-product solutions.
Certifications & Requirements:
- Completion of the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP).
- Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation (preferred).
- Proficiency in multi-channel technology and digital tools to support client interactions.
- Availability to travel locally as needed, with a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Deep expertise in Group Benefits funding and underwriting arrangements.
- Strong financial acumen, including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and trend assessments.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Advanced strategic planning and negotiation skills to drive successful client outcomes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering long-term client relationships.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a challenging environment.
