Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced backend developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python within a robust AWS environment. You will collaborate with a team to define specifications, optimize performance, and ensure reliable deployment pipelines.

The role emphasizes integrating REST APIs and WebSockets, leveraging Linux systems, and applying IaC practices with Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK to deliver production-grade services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development experience in Python.
• Hands-on AWS expertise including Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch.
• Solid grasp of REST APIs, WebSockets, and modern software architecture principles.
• Experience with Linux environments, server performance optimization, and secure client-server development.
• CI/CD practices and tools such as GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and performance considerations.
