We’re looking for:

Senior Backend Developer

The Role:

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work on developing backend components for all Bitfinex services, including trading applications, Lightning Network support, and blockchain integrations. Your responsibilities include:

• New Products and Features: Developing innovative features to provide a professional trading experience, using agile methodologies to ensure top user experience.

• Scalability: Ensuring backend services remain responsive and real-time as the platform scales, including maintaining the robustness of the Bitfinex API.

• Security: Building API services and backend processes with high security standards to protect our user base.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Proven experience in backend development, with a strong portfolio.

• Exceptional skills in Node.js/JavaScript.

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Experience developing complex platforms.

• Good knowledge of databases like MySQL and MongoDB.

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.

• Understanding of security practices.

Other Valuable Skills:

• Blockchain integration experience.

• Knowledge of high-availability systems.

• Skills in Ruby, Rust, or C++ are a plus.

• Familiarity with message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues.
