Job summary

Fullscript is seeking an experienced IAM-focused software engineer to join a pod of developers responsible for building and maintaining authentication, authorization, and security systems. You will help design scalable backend solutions using Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and Apollo, while ensuring data integrity and compliant access control.

The role emphasizes collaboration, secure coding practices, and continual learning in a fast-growing health-tech environment with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with authentication protocols, SSO (SAML, OAuth), RBAC, and MFA.
• Hands-on development with Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and Apollo.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and strong engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your pod — a small, focused team of developers — to build and maintain IAM capabilities
• Contribute to the backend codebase with an eye toward reliability, scalability, and security
• Participate in technical design discussions and help break down projects into clear, actionable tasks
• Identify and suggest improvements to our authentication and authorization flows
• Help support the maintenance and uptime of IAM systems, including investigating and resolving production issues
• Work closely with product, security, and legal stakeholders to ensure compliance and integrity of user data and access
• Stay informed on evolving security practices, frameworks, and technologies

Compensation Range

The salary range for this role is between $125,000 and $165,000 CAD. Fullscript shares salary ranges to support transparency and help candidates make informed decisions. The range shown reflects base salary only. Additional incentives, perks, and benefits may be available as part of Fullscript’s total rewards package.

Final base salary depends on experience, skills, and location. We review pay regularly to stay aligned with market data and internal equity. Benefits and total rewards may vary by region.
