Senior Azure Solution Architect with expertise in Data Integration & API Services to lead the design and implementation of API-enabled data solutions

Our public client is looking for an experienced Senior Azure Solution Architect with expertise in Data Integration & API Services to lead the design and implementation of scalable, API-enabled data solutions within a modern Azure-based data ecosystem. This position will play a key role in architecting and developing end-to-end data solutions, APIs, and data platforms to support enterprise-wide data access, reporting, and analytics.

1 year contract, 3 days a week onsite

This position requires deep technical knowledge of Azure Data Factory , Azure Databricks , Azure Data Lake Storage , and Azure Functions , as well as a solid background in business intelligence and data engineering best practices .

Must Have:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years in Azure-focused data architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs in a cloud-based data environment.
• Strong knowledge of Azure API Management and security best practices (OAuth2, RBAC, managed identities).
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and BI tools (Power BI, SSAS, etc.).
• Proficiency in Data Modeling, SQL, and working with structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, Parquet).
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience in project management using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven track record of building and optimizing scalable, maintainable, and secure data platforms in Azure.
