S.i. Systems client is looking for a Senior Azure Governance Consultant to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Azure Governance Framework- RFSQ#99-03-2024

6 month contract to start, remote across Canada with approximately two workshops to attend in Victoria, BC. Expenses will be covered.

Must Haves:

• Extensive experience in setting up Azure governance in large, complex environments
• Proven track record in designing and implementing Azure governance and operational frameworks in enterprise settings (preferably public sector)
• Strong familiarity with Azure tools, governance features, and migration best practices
• Ability to act as a gatekeeper for Azure services—balancing agility with compliance and control

Nice to haves:

• Experience working in or with public sector organizations
• Design and implement a scalable Azure Governance Framework, including policy, security, and cost controls
• Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to guide governance structure and standards
• Define and operationalizegatekeeping processes, ensuring teams follow governance protocols
• Provide strategic input and hands-on support for Azure migration workflows, including responsibility mapping and workflow ownership
• Act as a trusted advisor to technical and non-technical stakeholders; provide clear, context-aware guidance
• Support ongoing Azure operations and ensure alignment with the governance model
• Document frameworks and educate internal teams on best practices and compliance guidelines
