Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. in Toronto is seeking an experienced Azure data engineer to design and deliver scalable data and cloud solutions.

You will work across Azure Databricks, REST APIs, and data integration patterns to build robust ETL/ELT pipelines. Responsibilities include implementing Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, and secure cloud-native designs, with DevOps and IaC practices using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable Azure data and analytics solutions.
• Hands-on development with Databricks, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
• Experience with data engineering patterns and Delta Lake.
• Knowledge of migrating legacy ETL to cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Azure governance, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure Databricks.
• Develop Azure-native apps and RESTful services using .NET Core.
• Create end-to-end data integration using ADF, Event Hub, Service Bus, Logic Apps.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Databricks Development:

• Design and develop scalable ETLELT solutions using Azure Databricks.

• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and aggregation pipelines using PySpark and Spark SQL.

• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).

• Build optimized Delta Lake solutions for large-scale data processing.

• Develop reusable notebooks, workflows, and job orchestration processes.

• Optimize Spark jobs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Support migration of legacy ETL workflows from Informatica, SSIS, Oracle, or other platforms to Databricks.

Azure Application Development

• Design and develop Azure-native applications and services.

• Build and maintain Azure Functions for serverless integrations and event-driven processing.

• Develop REST APIs and microservices using .NET.NET Core.

• Implement business logic and integrations using Azure App Services.

• Design secure and scalable cloud-native architectures.

Azure Integration Data Services:

• Develop solutions using, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus Azure Logic Apps, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Key Vault, Azure API Management

• Create end-to-end integration patterns across cloud and on-premises systems.

• Develop data ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured data.

Cloud Architecture Engineering:

• Design enterprise-grade solutions following Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.

• Participate in architecture reviews and technical design sessions.

• Develop data and application solutions aligned with security, governance, and compliance standards.

• Define reusable design patterns and development standards.

DevOps Automation:

• Implement CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

• Automate deployment of Databricks, Azure Functions, APIs, and cloud resources.

• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terrafor m, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

• Support release management and production deployment activities.

Salary Range

- CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
