Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Node.js experience in production environments.
• Proven experience operating as a Solutions Architect or similar hands-on technical leadership role.
• Strong end-to-end solution architecture experience across apps, APIs, data, cloud services, security, and production support.
• 3+ years of financial services experience in a regulated setting.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Strong Node.js development experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.
• REST APIs, API security, integration patterns, and event-driven architectures.
• Asynchronous JavaScript patterns and NoSQL data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern collaboration tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution design across APIs, data flows, cloud infrastructure, security, observability, deployment, and production readiness.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the development and delivery lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor development teams through complex technical implementations.
• Design, develop, review, and optimize high-performance Node.js applications and microservices on AWS.
• Architect serverless and event-driven solutions using AWS services.
• Design scalable API integrations between internal and external platforms.
• Develop event-driven architectures using SNS/SQS patterns.
• Establish development standards and conduct code/design reviews.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and release readiness.
• Drive performance optimization across Lambda workloads and cloud infrastructure.
• Communicate architecture decisions and risks to stakeholders.
• Produce technical documentation covering architecture decisions and procedures.
• Mentor developers on AWS and Node.js best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve SDLC productivity.
