Job description

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division Cleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Automation Specialist in our Windsor, Ontario Hot Stamping Facility. The Senior Automation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and improving industrial automated processes and equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing facility, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, prepare, and communicatereports on machinery for process improvements
  • Maintain, debug, and troubleshoot robotic and PLC programs
  • Prepare technical documentation such as operating and training manuals
  • Proactive in process and quality improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative safety requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution. Required field of study would include Robotic Technician, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, and Industrial Controls
  • 2 years of relevant experience related to industrial automation
  • Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience related to industrial automation
  • Broad knowledge of process automation
  • Highly initiative and independently motivated
