Senior Automation Engineer | West of Ireland

Oradeo Recruitment is presently seeking interest for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer ideally with exposure to PLC/HMI/Allen Bradley development and implementation. Become an Automation Engineer with one of Ireland's Leading Medical Device Company in the West of Ireland working on Large Projects. This position would come with an excellent remuneration package and a clear path for career growth.

Automation Engineer Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical guidance from concept through design, development, system delivery, commissioning and validation.
  2. Liaise with Engineering team in order to identify opportunities to improve automation systems.
  3. Develop automation procedures to support and maintain process lines.
  4. Implement and support automation systems for manufacturing and packaging.
  5. Assist in setting up new machines and transferring equipment at different plants. Provide automated solutions on budget & on time.
  6. Keep abreast of latest developments in industrial automation technology and introduce them to plant wide operations to achieve cost savings and improve productivity.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
Necessary Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering or Minimum 5 – 8 years relevant experience and PLC Programming experience/ability.

  1. Good knowledge of motor drivers.
  2. Knowledge of medical device manufacturing and supplies preferred.
  3. Knowledge of regulatory requirements of machine building.
  4. Proficiency in hardware and software design and troubleshooting.
  5. World-class manufacturing knowledge preferred.
