Job summary

Powell is seeking a Senior UX Designer based in Toronto to lead GUI design and user research for web and mobile projects. You will drive UX projects, run workshops with stakeholders, and translate research into sitemaps, flows, wireframes and prototypes, ensuring user-centered results.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accessible, intuitive interfaces across digital touchpoints, while advocating best practices in UX design and usability testing.

Qualifications

• Must have experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
• Experience as UX/UI designer for web and mobile applications.
• Ability to define and lead UX projects and design workshops with stakeholders.
• Experience conducting user research and translating findings into sitemaps, flows and prototypes.

Must Have:

• Experience conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, user journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
• Skilled in conveying design concepts and development processes in a clear, understandable manner to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work with Ontario Design system or other similar Design systems.

Responsibilities

• Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces. Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing. Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required. Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs. Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes
