Job summary

Charlesglen Toyota in Calgary, AB, seeks an experienced automotive accounting professional to join our team as Controller. This is a key leadership role responsible for owning the accounting function, leading an established team, and partnering with the CFO and dealership leadership.

The successful candidate will prepare monthly financial statements, ensure compliance with ASPE and manufacturer guidelines, mentor staff, and drive process improvements across three G3 Auto Group dealerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is an asset.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (e.g., PBS, Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK) and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the G3 Auto Group dealerships.
• Manage accounting staff and coordinate with department heads.
• Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with manufacturer formats.
• Ensure compliance with applicable finance regulations and payroll taxes.
• Coordinate annual audits and physical inventory.
• Provide system support for PBS and oversee payroll processing.
