Cenovus is seeking a Senior Auditor to lead joint venture and contract compliance audits, provide independent assurance, and drive process improvements across the organization. The role emphasizes strong collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams to recover value and strengthen controls.
You will influence audit quality, deliver actionable insights, and participate in broader assurance initiatives, including SOX compliance and internal audit support.
The Senior Auditor leads complex joint venture audit engagements, identifying value recovery opportunities, enhancing commercial and operational controls, and providing independent assurance over partner-operated expenditures. This role requires strong audit, analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners across the organization. The successful candidate will deliver actionable insights, drive process improvements, and influence positive business outcomes while maintaining a high standard of audit quality and professionalism. In addition, the role may support broader Internal Audit initiatives and audit engagements as business needs arise. Occasional travel may be required for this position.
