Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Contract Period : 4 months with potential to extend or convert

Location : Toronto, ON

Location Type : Hybrid; 2 days onsite per week (usually Tuesday), open to outside of Ontario candidates – if in GTA needs to be onsite)

Job Responsibilities :

1. Perform issues validation of action plans or MRAs
2. Complete audits of various types, taking lead from senior auditors
3. Follow audit methodology strictly
4. Work with different members of the team, working with senior member of the audit. A lot of documentation processes
5. Attend and document walkthroughs of processes and controls with business partners
6. Work with QA and testers, perform testing, build test scripts and identify success
7. Need to follow clear processes that are set out by the bank (template, process, tools)
8. Need to clear with communication to their manager in audit findings
9. Prioritize needs and work with business
10. Bi-weekly board reporting procedure
11. Need to be able to run desk independently even though you are working with a team

Experience & Qualification Requirements :

• Issues validation experience - 2+ years (business profession communication able to talk to people who can audit)
• 5 years of auditor exp, 1 year of leading an audit
• 1 year of Audit management experience
• 2+ AML experience (anything related to financial crimes)
• Regulatory experience
• Governance experience
• Compliance experience
• Ability to work with high volumes successfully
