Qualifications

• When 7+ years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree is required.
• Professional designations such as CIA, CPA-Audit; CFA or FRM are assets.
• In-depth knowledge of Capital Markets products, trading and risk management processes.
• Familiarity with OSFI guidelines, Basel standards and related regulatory frameworks.
• Verbal & written communication skills - in-depth / expert.
• Analytical and problem solving skills - in-depth / expert.
• Influence skills - in-depth / expert.
• Collaboration & cross-group teamwork are essential.
• Able to manage ambiguity and drive data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plans and leads audits of Capital Markets businesses and related processes.
• Plans and leads audits of Treasury risk areas including liquidity and funding risk.
• Supports regulatory examinations and assesses regulatory compliance.
• Provides strategic input and acts as trusted advisor to stakeholders.
• Develops annual audit plans aligned to client strategies and risk profile.
• Delivers objective, clear and timely audit deliverables.
• Leads, mentors and develops team members with specialized expertise.
• Maintains independence and integrity of the audit practice.
• Uses data analytics to improve audit quality and efficiency.
