Job description

Our client, a reputable accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join their team for an initial 6 month contract. In this hybrid role, the successful candidate will lead mid-sized audits across a diverse private client portfolio, focusing on audit planning, execution, and review processes. Responsibilities include guiding junior auditors, identifying and resolving audit issues, and preparing clear, actionable audit findings.

This role requires a commitment of 2-3 days per week in the office or at client sites.

The key responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead and manage mid-sized client audits from start to finish, including planning, testing, and completion phases
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality standards
  • Identify, resolve, and document audit issues, presenting clear findings and recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact during the audit process

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications:

  • CPA designation or pursuing a CPA Designation
  • 3+ busy seasons in auditing for small to mid-sized clients
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and present audit findings
  • Experience with CaseWare is preferred, though not mandatory
