Qualifications

Make an impact with our Valuations team as a Senior Associate. This diverse team of professionals works with clients on a wide range of business disputes and irregularities and applies qualitative techniques to accurately measure the value of their operations. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide independent and reliable business valuations that empower clients to advance their strategic goals and make value-driven business decisions with confidence.

Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate the commercial benefits and risks of potential mergers and acquisitions and provide strategic advice to parties regarding divestiture and merger and acquisition execution.
  2. Participate in business valuations, intellectual property valuations, fairness opinions, financial modelling and purchase price allocations to help clients understand the value of their business and its components.
  3. Provide IPO services such as investment broker/banker selection and issue pricing.
  4. Interact with client management, stakeholders, legal counsel and financial advisors.
  5. Conduct industry and market research on trends, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions.
  6. Prepare cash flows, valuation models and other technical based analysis, projections and forecasts.
  7. Design and develop high-quality deliverables including engagement letters, reports, presentations and correspondence relating to merger, acquisition and financing transactions.
  8. Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders.
  9. Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop.
  10. Lead engagement teams, developing effective relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  11. Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals.
  12. Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.

Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business (accounting or finance major).
  2. CPA designation.
  3. Completion of, or working towards, a CBV designation.
  4. 3 to 4 years of professional services experience, ideally in financial analysis and valuations.
