About the Role

Throughline Strategy is seeking experienced qualitative researchers eager to grow their consulting expertise within our behavioral and implementation science team. You will be involved in high-impact insights, strategy, and medical education projects, collaborating with a cross-functional team. Your responsibilities will include :

• Qualitative coding, analysis, and synthesis of primary research with healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers across various settings and regions.
• Managing the day-to-day execution of research and consulting projects, including developing screeners, managing recruitment, document management, building timelines, identifying risks, and solving project challenges.
• Supporting the development of materials for IRB submissions.
• Summarizing and communicating research findings effectively.
• Developing client recommendations based on Social Science frameworks and concepts.
• Designing and facilitating social science-informed meetings and workshops.
• Synthesizing outputs from meetings and workshops.
• Contributing to case studies, project proposals, and new practice tools informed by social science.
• Assisting in improving workplace culture and environment.
• Performing other duties as required.

Qualifications

We invite applicants who have :

• Completed a PhD in social science (e.g., Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Implementation Science).
• Experience applying theory practically and tailoring concepts for specific audiences.
• Ability to explain complex theories simply.
• Experience with short-turnaround projects and meeting deadlines.
• Moderated many interviews or conducted ethnographic research over months.
• Used qualitative analysis to develop insights.
• Critical thinking about research questions and findings.
• Experience presenting work to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with qualitative coding software (e.g., MaxQDA, NVivo, Atlas.ti, Dedoose).

Additional Requirements

• Passion for health-related work.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience in an office or corporate environment.
• Technical literacy with G-Suite, MS-Office, and digital collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, Slack, etc.).

Logistics

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to travel 10-25% within Canada, the US, and Europe. The role operates in a hybrid model, with one day onsite in Toronto at Yonge and St. Clair, and remote work for the rest.
