Position Overview:

We seek a highly analytical, proactive Strategic Finance Associate to leverage operational and financial data for developing models and analyses that support strategic decision-making. The Associate reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance, and collaborates across departments.

What You’ll Do:

1. Maintain and evolve long-range financial models:

• Build and refine critical financial models, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Lead scenario planning to evaluate potential outcomes and set long-term targets.
• Incorporate strategic objectives and KPIs into forecasting models.

Develop bespoke financial and operational models:

• Address complex business problems by sourcing data and creating analytical frameworks.
• Act as a thought partner with cross-functional teams.

Enhance competitive intelligence capabilities:

• Design metrics for benchmarking and tracking performance.
• Monitor industry trends and peer activities.

Communicate analyses effectively:

• Create clear presentations for senior leaders and board members.

Let’s Talk About You:

• B.A. in business, finance, economics, or related field.
• 2+ years in management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or similar roles.
• Experience with complex financial modeling and forecasting.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Self-starter with organizational skills in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent time management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to relocate to Toronto if not already residing there.
