Job Description

The role reports into the Junior Associate Director, BPO and involves activities such as preparing performance and statistical reports, reviewing regulatory and NAV files prepared by third-party administrators, and using various Investment Manager tools for investor reporting. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain insight into back-office activities from the Investment Manager's perspective. Other responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and approving administrator NAV calculations for accuracy and liaising with administrators to resolve issues.
  • Calculating fund management and incentive fees according to the fund’s legal structure.
  • Reviewing investor reports before distribution.
  • Overseeing fund allocations, including investor distributions, capital calls, financial statement reviews, and responding to investor inquiries.
  • Liaising with departments to ensure accurate and timely fund maintenance.
  • Producing reports to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Training new team members on existing and new processes.

Qualifications

We seek candidates with experience in fund accounting, interested in expanding their skills in a Business Process Outsourcing environment. Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and an understanding of accounting concepts are essential. Additional qualifications include:

  • Experience in fund accounting for alternative investment funds.
  • Client-facing experience with relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • Professional designations such as CPA or CFA (or in progress) are advantageous.
