About the Role

FTI Capital Advisors (“FTICA”) is the special situations investment banking subsidiary of FTI Consulting. Supported by FTI’s global network, FTICA specializes in M&A advisory, capital raising, balance sheet restructuring, valuation, opinions, and strategic analysis. The Associate / Senior Associate supports the entire transaction lifecycle, from initial evaluation to diligence, negotiations, and closing.

We provide advisory services to companies, boards, private equity firms, lenders, and other stakeholders in complex and special situations.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Associate will work with clients across various industries. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing financial modeling and valuation analysis
  • Preparing presentation and marketing materials, including deal Teasers and CIMs
  • Conducting industry research and identifying potential buyers/targets/investors
  • Evaluating and analyzing clients’ financial needs
  • Providing transaction recommendations
  • Supporting negotiations with SMD/MDs
  • Developing analytical and transaction process skills in investment banking
How You’ll Grow

This role offers valuable experience in M&A, capital raising, and financing strategies, working with top industry professionals and diverse clients. Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Science, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in consulting or professional services
  • Understanding of financial statements and corporate functions
  • Ability to travel to FTI offices and client sites as needed

Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis; this position does not sponsor visas.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA
  • Experience in M&A, Transaction Services, or Corporate Finance
  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication and client interface skills
