Job description

Senior Associate - Corporate Development

Status: Permanent full time
Location: North York, ON. Hybrid 4 days/week on-site

As the Business Development Lead at Lifemark Health Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our organization by identifying and engaging with clinic owners who align with our mission and values and are interested in joining Lifemark through acquisition. Your strategic approach to business development will be instrumental in expanding our network of partners, fostering strong relationships, and contributing to the overall success of Lifemark.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential sellers within the healthcare and wellness industry, specifically in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation space.
    • Utilize various channels, such as industry events, online platforms, and networking, to generate leads and build a robust pipeline of prospective sellers.
  2. Qualification and Analysis:
    • Evaluate the suitability of potential sellers based on their alignment with Lifemark's business objectives, values, and quality standards.
    • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify key opportunities and positioning strategies.
    • Conduct a quantitative assessment of each opportunity.
  3. Relationship Building:
    • Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with prospective sellers, understanding their needs, goals, and pain points.
    • Develop an external market presence and build meaningful relationships with industry leaders and strategic advisors through attending events and conferences.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to engagement of acquisition discussions.
  4. Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and present compelling proposals and business cases that highlight the value proposition of collaborating with Lifemark.
    • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target and engage prospective sellers effectively.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align business development efforts with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
    • Previous external engagement experience considered an asset.
  5. Market Insights and Reporting:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to provide insights that inform Lifemark's approach to business development.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, interactions, and progress using CRM software.
  6. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Effectively communicate Lifemark's value proposition and unique selling points to potential sellers.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition of new sellers through the acquisition process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare or rehabilitation sales is a strong asset.
  • Experience in healthcare research is considered an asset.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and acquiring business opportunities within the healthcare, wellness, or related industries.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strategic approach to business development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Exceptional time management and the ability to manage multiple opportunities/deals simultaneously.
  • Any other specific qualifications or certifications relevant to the role.
