Job summary

Husky Technologies is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Bolton, Ontario team. You will assemble and install pre-fabricated parts, determine procedures, and support prototyping and new product launches.

This role emphasizes continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and field support to customers. With a minimum of 5 years in manufacturing and mold-related experience, you will read designs, adhere to quality standards, and mentor others while lifting up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College diploma or certificate in Mold Making or Tool and Die Making preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience (Mold Refurbishment/new Mold Making).
• Previous assembly and refurbishing experience (Mold making preferred).
• Knowledge of assembly tools and relevant equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret design content.
• Understand Husky’s quality standards and requirements.
• Self-inspection/metrology and autonomous troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving with process orientation.
• Able to lift minimum 35 lbs.
• Understand data output, trends and SPCs.
• Follow Husky EH&S guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and install pre-fabricated parts and sub-assemblies to form completed systems.
• Determine assembly procedures for a part of a subsystem.
• Oversee self-assembly automation tools.
• Involved in prototyping, new product launches, and complex systems.
• Create and develop assembly procedures and flow-line processes.
• Lead continuous improvement in parts and procedures and troubleshoot quality issues.
• Provide field support to customers and perform root cause analysis.
• Train teammates and share knowledge across the team.
